What you will do
Joining Hook at this early stage as we scale provides the unique opportunity for someone to have an immediate impact on our revenue and customer growth for 2024 and beyond. We are looking for someone to manage the entire sales cycle, from identifying opportunities, you'll strategise prospecting efforts, uncover key insights in discovery sessions, accurately predict outcomes, and close deals.

Who we are looking for?
- Proven track record of successfully selling SaaS solutions in a B2B environment - ideally you have consistently over achieved on your targets of been a top performer

Account Manager / Customer Success Manager

The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Customer Success Manager/Account Manager to partner with our ever-growing customer base. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the success of our customers during the full lifecycle, from initial strategy sessions right through to closing renewals. You will be accountable for partnering with our customers to drive value by increasing adoption, optimizing their Hook experience and being a trusted partner for their customer success and revenue teams.

Requirements
Who are we looking for?
- Prior experience in a Customer Success or Account Management role
- Experience in a saas/technology company, ideally working with more technical software
- You’re comfortable operating in an environment where not every playbook and resource exists yet and you’re excited by the prospect of building things as you go
- Proven track record achieving commercial targets and experience managing renewals.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience of presenting to large and small audiences.

Finance Lead

The role:
You’ll be the first finance hire at Hook, and will play a key role in establishing the finance function. In this pivotal role you will work closely with our CEO and senior leadership team and will be instrumental in helping us through our next phase of growth, keeping the operation running smoothly, championing finance in the business, with potential to build this area out as we scale.
Responsibilities:
- The finance responsibilities at Hook so far have been split across our founder, ops team and external accountant. You’ll play a big part in reconciling this and creating a function that scales with us as a business.
- You’ll oversee and manage all day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, revenue invoicing and collection, expense and payment management, bank reconciliations, recording of all transactions in Xero, payroll processing and compliance
- Work with teams in Hook to manage budgets as we grow
- You’ll work closely with our 3rd party accountant, with potential to build a small, high
- performing finance function as we scale
- You’ll prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow) and
- any other reporting requirements
- Manage monthly / quarterly regulatory filings and year end processes, including
- tax, VAT, PAYE, Companies House
- You’ll build and implement the scalable accounting / reporting processes, systems
- and controls
- You’ll lead regular and ad-hoc financial analysis, cash flow analysis and work closely with leadership on forecasting and budgeting
Requirements
Who are we looking for?
- You’re a fully qualified accounting professional (CIMA / ACA / ACCA) with 2-3yrs post-qualification experience ideally in a tech startup
- You’ve managed or been part of a finance function in a start up / fast-growing business
- You have experience of owning the full financial operations and reporting process, with end-to-end responsibility for both P&L and balance sheets
- You have experience of establishing financial systems and processes
- You have excellent financial analysis and modeling skills including advanced Excel/Google Sheet skills
- You’re excited by working autonomously in a startup environment and know what it takes to succeed. You’re likely to be the only hire in the team for the next 12 months, and that shouldn’t intimidate you!

Platform Engineer

What you’ll be doing
As the founding and sole Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and managing Hook's cloud infrastructure. You also will help drive continuous improvements to our engineering standards, practices and tools.
Design implement and maintain highly available infrastructure
- Set clear metrics for uptime, scalability and fault tolerance and ensure infrastructure solutions meet or exceed these benchmarks
Oversight and development of cloud infrastructure:
- Establish and track KPIs related to Kubernetes cluster performance, RDS database uptime, ML pipeline efficiency, and AWS infrastructure cost optimisation
- Utilise Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and manage infrastructure as code, ensuring consistency and reproducibility
Integration of new components into stack:
- Quantify the impact of integrating new components into the technology stack, such as improved data analytics capabilities or enhanced search functionality.
- Monitor system performance before and after integration, measuring factors like query response times and user engagement metrics.
CI/CD tooling development:
- Define key performance indicators for CI/CD processes, including build and deployment times, error rates, and deployment frequency to optimise
Internal tooling development
- Measure the efficiency gains achieved through internal tooling development, such as reduced manual tasks or improved collaboration among teams.
- Track user feedback and adoption rates to assess the effectiveness of internal tools in simplifying workflows and improving productivity.
Requirements
Your background may include:
- Experience or comfortable being in a standalone Platform / DevOps role (preferably at a start up)
- Experience with Site Reliability Engineering, System Design, and Distributed Computing
- Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, and cloud infrastructure
- Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code. We use Terraform
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment systems.

The role:
You will have an impact from day one as sole Product Manager, collaborating closely with our founder and senior leadership to help set the overall product strategy and direction for Hook. You will have the opportunity to help shape an industry leading product that predicts revenue growth using data science/ ML & AI to identify organisations highest value customers and how to retain and maximise revenue. You will be in an incredibly fast paced area of the business, with close collaboration with both the technical and customer sides of the business.
Working directly with the Founder and VP of Operations, you’ll be a key player in driving the product lifecycle from discovery to delivery, iterating at speed.
- Product Operations: Managing the product dev lifecycle, working closely with our engineering & data, customer teams and our UI/UX designer
- Requirement Definition: Defining product requirements and acceptance criteria based on input from the team, research on the CS market, and customer discovery (both current customers and prospects) through continuous feedback and communication
- Roadmap Planning: Creating and maintaining a product roadmap that outlines the timeline for feature releases and major updates, prioritising the features that will deliver the greatest value to our customers
- Collaboration: Work closely with all teams in Hook to ensure alignment and successful execution of the product strategy and understanding of the product as we scale
- Performance Tracking: Help us to start tracking key product metrics to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions for better user engagement
Requirements
Who we are looking for:
- 5+ previous yrs experience as a Technical Product Manager within a B2B SaaS startup environment (preferably at early stage, owning the product yourself)
- A strong technical background e.g. a CompSci or data science degree or experience with a technical product and working closely with data / engineering teams. You should be comfortable discussing product architecture and the relevant limitations and/or opportunities that exist
- Data Driven - you look to data for the answers and are comfortable diving into datasets using data visualisation tools (such as Tableau)
- Customer first - You are passionate about designing and building brilliant user experiences that get the job done. You have the ability to balance business and customer needs and will prioritise this above all else
- Entrepreneurial - You are self-motivated, proactive and collaborative. You have a high tolerance for ambiguity, ability to perform under pressure to meet deadlines and willingness to take risks.

What you will do:
As a Sales Development Representative, your job will be to lay the foundation for the rest of the sales team by engaging with customers and prospects, helping them understand the benefits of Hook and progressing them in the sales process.
