The Role

What you will do
Joining Hook at this early stage as we scale provides the unique opportunity for someone to have an immediate impact on our revenue and customer growth for 2024 and beyond. We are looking for someone to manage the entire sales cycle, from identifying opportunities, you'll strategise prospecting efforts, uncover key insights in discovery sessions, accurately predict outcomes, and close deals.
- Work closely with our SDR team to fuel our growth by stacking up your pipeline! Your self-motivation and tenacity will fuel the generation of new leads, ensuring our success soars to new heights
- Prioritise your book of business and formulate account plans and strategies to ensure success
- Embrace the role of a trusted advisor by understanding our customers' needs to scope out how Hook would be used within the prospect’s company e.g. implementation process and timeframes, workflows, metrics & goals that they can expect to achieve etc.
- Contributing to the growth and development of the Hook product by providing feedback from conversations with your customers and prospects
Requirements
- Proven track record of successfully selling SaaS solutions in a B2B environment - ideally you have consistently over achieved on your targets or been a top performer
- You thrive in ambiguity and can identify your prospects’ pain points and run captivating product demos that highlight the differentiation & value in Hook
- You are an excellent communicator and feel comfortable authentically engaging with C-Suite level decision makers.
- You are naturally curious and an attentive listener. Your negotiation style is based on immersing yourself in the challenges of your prospects and deriving enjoyment from solving their problems
- Desirable: Experience with ACV's >$50k
- You have the ability to take a strategic and structured approach to identifying new business opportunities, engaging internal and client stakeholders, and closing deals

Demand Generation Specialist

The Role:
As a Demand Generation Specialist, you will play a critical role in developing and executing multi-channel campaigns. Working alongside our content producer and reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for transforming our content into strategic, data-driven marketing initiatives. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across the business, particularly in sales and product, to drive growth and success.
Job responsibilities:
- Campaign Management: Develop and implement multi-channel demand generation campaigns aimed at increasing top-of-funnel activities, inbound pipeline, and overall revenue.
- Optimisation: Leverage data to inform, test and refine campaigns, including SEO efforts, ensuring continuous optimisation and improvement of organic results.
- Execution: Manage our paid ads agency and lead paid advertising campaigns across multiple channels, including Google and LinkedIn. Oversee the execution of digital marketing campaigns, SEO, social media, email, and webinars.
- Data & Reporting: Lead the reporting process for demand generation activities. Analyse performance data, provide insights, and uncover improvements to enhance the customer journey.
Requirements
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset
- Proven success in planning and executing multi-channel campaigns, including SEO, paid social, events and webinars
- Experience with marketing automation tools and CRM systems (Hubspot preferred but not required)
- Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Manager, Solution Engineering

The role:
We’re looking for someone with experience in scoping and delivering technical solutions for customers, to lead our growing team. You will have the autonomy to design what excellent looks like from start to finish for our customers during their technical implementation, as well as to build the corresponding processes and documentation that will help us scale to our expanding customer base.
We want someone who is just as happy being hands-on and running a customer implementation, as they are partnering with our Engineering leaders to run and work on broader company projects.

What you'll be doing
- Build a best-in-class team, process and set of resources that you think deliver an exceptional technical implementation for our customers
- Partner closely with the Product and Engineering teams to ensure that implementations are successfully executed
- Successfully lead pre-sales projects to showcase Hooks platform capabilities to potential clients
- Tailor platform implementations to meet the unique needs of each client and deliver on them within the specified 28-day period consistently
- Be the point of contact for customer escalations, managing them to resolution
- Offer expert advice on leveraging Hook features for tasks such as renewal forecasting, time management, and process automation
- Propose innovative solutions to address customer challenges, ensuring timely delivery within the pre-onboarding phase
Requirements
- Extensive experience in a Technical Implementation / Solution Engineering role (or similar)
- Previous experience in a Team Lead or Manager role is ideal, but in absence of that, proven experience building and rolling out technical processes
- Essential: Strong experience using SQL for complex queries
- Data consulting experience or a customer-facing role in a data-led company
- Interested in data, AI, machine learning and Cloud software models

Product Manager
The Role

The role:
You will have an impact from day one as sole Product Manager, collaborating closely with our founder and senior leadership to help set the overall product strategy and direction for Hook. You will have the opportunity to help shape an industry leading product that predicts revenue growth using data science/ ML & AI to identify organisations highest value customers and how to retain and maximise revenue. You will be in an incredibly fast paced area of the business, with close collaboration with both the technical and customer sides of the business.
Working directly with the Founder and VP of Operations, you’ll be a key player in driving the product lifecycle from discovery to delivery, iterating at speed.
- Product Operations: Managing the product dev lifecycle, working closely with our engineering & data, customer teams and our UI/UX designer
- Requirement Definition: Defining product requirements and acceptance criteria based on input from the team, research on the CS market, and customer discovery (both current customers and prospects) through continuous feedback and communication
- Roadmap Planning: Creating and maintaining a product roadmap that outlines the timeline for feature releases and major updates, prioritising the features that will deliver the greatest value to our customers
- Collaboration: Work closely with all teams in Hook to ensure alignment and successful execution of the product strategy and understanding of the product as we scale
- Performance Tracking: Help us to start tracking key product metrics to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions for better user engagement
Requirements
Who we are looking for:
- Experience as a Technical Product Manager within a B2B SaaS startup environment (preferably at early stage, owning the product yourself)
- A strong technical background e.g. a CompSci or data science degree or experience with a technical product and working closely with data / engineering teams. You should be comfortable discussing product architecture and the relevant limitations and/or opportunities that exist
- Data Driven - you look to data for the answers and are comfortable diving into datasets using data visualisation tools (such as Tableau)
- Customer first - You are passionate about designing and building brilliant user experiences that get the job done. You have the ability to balance business and customer needs and will prioritise this above all else
- Entrepreneurial - You are self-motivated, proactive and collaborative. You have a high tolerance for ambiguity, ability to perform under pressure to meet deadlines and willingness to take risks.
- Scrappy - we're an early stage startup, you are able to adapt quickly and get into the details of a project to deliver a product feature from start to finish.

What you will do:
As a Sales Development Representative, your job will be to lay the foundation for the rest of the sales team by engaging with customers and prospects, helping them understand the benefits of Hook and progressing them in the sales process. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by generating high-quality leads, qualifying prospects, and setting up meetings for our sales team.
- Conduct outbound prospecting activities, including cold calling and emailing to generate new leads and opportunities.
- Continuously improve key sales metrics, such as response rates, engagement rates, and conversion rates.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets for lead generation and opportunity creation.

Software Engineer (Platform)

What you’ll be doing
As the founding Software Engineer for our platform, you will be responsible for managing Hook's data, machine learning & cloud platform. You will obsess over how to make the lives of other engineers in the team better by removing inefficiencies in development and the backend infrastructure. You also will help drive continuous improvements to our engineering standards, practices and tools.
Understanding and automation of inefficiencies across developer and data workflows:
- Detect, diagnose and fix inefficiencies in the development process and backend workflows related to data, ML or cloud infrastructure utilisation
- Deeply understand the product and actively propose new and better solutions of designing the backend for higher efficiency gains
Oversight and development of platform infrastructure:
- Understand the business context and roadmap and lead the development of infrastructure that would support the scale and complexity of Hook’s business goals
- Establish and track KPIs related to uptime, scalability and fault tolerance and ensure infrastructure solutions meet or exceed these benchmarks
- Continuously improve Kubernetes cluster performance, RDS database uptime, ML pipeline efficiency, and AWS infrastructure cost optimisation
- Utilise Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and manage infrastructure as code, ensuring consistency and reproducibility
Integration of new components into stack:
- Quantify the impact of integrating new components into the technology stack, such as improved data analytics capabilities or enhanced search functionality.
- Monitor system performance before and after integration, measuring factors like query response times and user engagement metrics.
CI/CD tooling development:
- Define key performance indicators for CI/CD processes, including build and deployment times, error rates, and deployment frequency to optimise
Internal tooling development
- Measure the efficiency gains achieved through internal tooling development, such as reduced manual tasks or improved collaboration among teams.
- Track user feedback and adoption rates to assess the effectiveness of internal tools in simplifying workflows and improving productivity.
Requirements
- Strong backend software engineering skills with an interest in platform, cloud and development efficiency
- Experience with Site Reliability Engineering, System Design, and Distributed Computing
- Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, and cloud infrastructure
- Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code. We use Terraform
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment systems
